👋🏽 Hello
I'm Avinash — @avinashnegi1999 most places on the internet. I'm a Python developer from Kotdwara, Uttarakhand. I build small tools that solve one real problem, then keep them running.
No job yet, so this page is four things I actually shipped. One service is live on AWS, a desktop app is in daily use on my own laptop, and I write down every bug that takes a machine down.
Open to remote Python internships. Degree finishes May 2027.

A few things I wrote down after breaking them:
🛠️ Projects
The four pinned on my GitHub. Nothing padded out to make the list longer.
Yojana Sathi — Welfare-scheme screening for India's unorganised workers, in Hindi and English. Deterministic rules with a citation on every value; a language model never decides eligibility.
Tufglow — Keyboard RGB for ASUS TUF laptops on Linux, the one thing Armoury Crate was still needed for. Colour, brightness, effects and hotkeys, straight through the kernel's asus-nb-wmi sysfs.
NIMCET — Nineteen past papers, 2008–2026, read as data: a heat-map of topic weightage plus study resources for NIT MCA aspirants. I was one of them.
100 Days of Python — A hundred days of projects and problem-solving, kept in public. The record everything above stands on.
✍️ Posts
I write down what I break. Two ongoing series and one post-mortem:
- I built a keyboard RGB app for my laptop, and it froze the whole machine twice
- DSA with Python — linked lists to dynamic programming
- Linux for Beginners — command line from zero
🧰 Skills
Three levels, because a single flat list would be a lie.
- Use daily: Python, C, DSA, OOP, Git, Linux CLI
- Shipped once: FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS EC2, GTK4 / libadwaita, GitHub Actions
- Not yet: Redis, system design, Go, Kubernetes
FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS got one real service running and keep it running — that's the honest ceiling.
🧭 Now
Next 7–8 months. Priorities, not deadlines; DSA runs alongside.
- SQL fundamentals — keys, JOINs, GROUP BY, transactions (starting here)
- Practical Python — modules, venvs, exceptions, pytest, Git
- HTTP & APIs — methods, JSON, status codes, validation
- One framework: FastAPI — endpoints, validation, database, errors, tests
- One deployment — env vars, secrets, logs, health checks, recovery
- An LLM feature, if useful — only with a real purpose and checked outputs
Meanwhile, maintaining yojana-sathi on EC2: uptime, scheme data, API tokens, CI.
